I am a thirtysomething lifestyle, mama and travel blogger who occasionally writes about other topics. My blog’s sole mission is to help people do stuff better. You could say it’s a self-improvement blog but that sounds like it would involve waking up at 5am to do yoga. I only wake up at 5am if one of my babies needs a nappy change.

I write a lot of how-to articles to help readers.

Within travel, for the first four years of this blog, I tended to write mostly about Europe as that was where I’d been. In 2017 I moved to China and became a digital nomad, and am currently based in Ireland.

My main job is writing steamy romance books under pen names, my main pen name is Katie Douglas. As a writer, I have hit the USA Today bestseller list twice. I’ve also written articles that are published in Offbeat Bride and on Buzzfeed, and as a photographer, I have taken photographs that are published in local and national news outlets in the UK.

MamaAdventure.com was re-registered with its current domain name in April 2020. Prior to this, the site was frequently getting about 3000-5000 hits a day, mostly from search engine traffic, but is currently suffering from loss of all its backlinks, something I’m currently working on.
